About the event

During the first portion of the class, students will learn about the benefits of sheet mulching, along with step-by-step instructions to do this in their own yards.  We will then take a tour of the facility's gardens for inspiration. The last part of class will be focused on creating our plant palettes and talking about the importance of using natives.  Bay Area Garden Designers Bo Firestone and Kaitlyn Meyer will provide instruction as well as one-on-one feedback during the class. Each student goes home with instructions for sheet mulching, plant lists, and inspiration for their native garden.
