2018 WORLD WETLANDS DAY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
February 26, 2018 Capitola Soquel Times

The 9th annual World Wetlands Day celebration by Watsonville Wetlands Watch was a huge success thanks to the over 250 volunteers who joined us and the City of Watsonville for a day of tree planting throughout Ramsay Park and the installation of a native plant demonstration garden around the City’s Nature Center.
In total 43 native and drought tolerant trees and hundreds of native plants were planted throughout the park, which is no small feat!"
A community tree planting event is always an absolute joy. Even after supervising over 300 events, the enthusiasm of the volunteers and dramatic transformation of a public space never gets old. (That's me in the yellow vest giving the planting demonstration!)

December 31, 2018 Register Pagaronian

Another article about the 2018 Watsonville community tree planting - that's me in the yellow vest working with volunteers! In a collaboration with the non-profit Wetlands Watch and the City of Watsonville, we planted over 40 trees in Ramsay Park. I was hired to conduct the planting presentation and supervise the planting coaches at this event in 2017 and 2018. Looking forward to next year!
