Fall at Firestone HQ is all about bold colors and textures! Meet the plants that are lighting up the season.

Bo's favorite this time around is the Japanese sunflower, which she's trying for the first time. Cosmos dance in the breeze, and zinnias burst with fiery joy. Marigolds glow with cultural significance in Indian and Mexican traditions. These annuals are classic favorites for the autumn garden!

Late season perennials provide important nectar sources for pollinators when resources are scarce. With the air turning crisp, balloon flower, magenta sage, native buckwheat, and southern charm verbascum light up autumn with their enduring vibrancy. These perennials keep the garden bold, bright, and full of life even as the days grow shorter.

Cold, bright days create the best fall colors as the leaves of deciduous trees and shrubs prepare for dormancy. Oakleaf hydrangea and October glory red maple paint gardens in fiery fall colors.

Hibiscus and crown of thorns surprise us with their bold blooms and deep greens, adding a tropical touch to autumn’s palette. The striking contrast of fiery pinks and reds creates vibrant harmony– proof that autumn’s beauty isn’t just about gold and crimson!
